Second annual food and wine event features winemakers, gourmet cuisine and Baja’s best views

LORETO, Baja California Sur, Mexico (February 12, 2020) — “Taste & Sip,” a food and wine immersion featuring the wines of Chateau Ste. Michelle and Lachini Vineyards returns to Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto, June 25-28, 2020.

Guests will be welcomed with a cocktail and appetizers reception on Thursday, June 25.  A four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Gerardo Garcia is scheduled for Friday at the resort’s Casa Mia Restaurant, while a five-course dinner at Danzante Restaurant, including tequila and cigars, caps the event on Saturday night.

Chateau Ste. Michelle has received 22 “Winery of the Year” honors from Wine & Spirits and has had 18 wines selected for the “Top 100” by Wine Spectator. Chateau Ste. Michelle was first winery and today remains the flagship producer of fine wine in Washington.

Lachini Vineyards, which began producing wines for nearly 20 years ago, is acclaimed for its world-class Pinot Noirs from the rich soils of Oregon’s North Willamette Valley and was recently recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the “10 Oregon Standouts.”

Lachini owners Ron and Marianne Lachini, along with winemaker Liz Kelly-Campanale will be on hand throughout the event for tastings and presentations and will introduce all the featured wines.

The 2020 Taste & Sip package is priced at $1,059 USD per person (based on double occupancy, including taxes and resort fees). Extra nights can be booked for $219 per night all inclusive. In addition to the dinners, receptions and tastings, the package includes three nights lodging in a one-bedroom suite, an 18-hole round of golf at the award-winning TPC Danzante Bay, an island boat tour, 45-minute massage at the world-class Sabila Spa, a variety of beach and area activities.

Villa del Palmar Beach & Spa Resort, set on 4,447 acres overlooking Danzante Bay and the Sea of Cortez on the eastern coast of the Baja Peninsula, will tantalize the senses of guests who reserve the “Taste & Sip” package.  World-class fishing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, tennis, hiking, and whale watching join championship golf in this recreational-rich paradise.
