Villa del Palmar Resort to Stage Food & Wine Extravaganza
Taste & Sip Event, April 4-7, Features Dinners, Tastings, Winemaker Presentations
Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto is preparing to tantalize the senses of guests who reserve a four-day, three-night “Taste & Sip” package during a food-and-wine extravaganza, April 4-7, that features sumptuous dinners, receptions and a tasting experience with acclaimed winemakers.
The menu for the “Taste & Sip” package also includes the stunning setting of Danzante Bay and the Islands of Loreto on the east coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula – plus the opportunity to play one of the world’s most acclaimed and breathtaking new golf courses, TPC Danzante Bay.
The winemaker tasting spotlights Chateau Ste. Michelle, a winery based in Woodland, Wash., that has received 22 “Winery of the Year” honors from Wine & Spirits and has had 18 wines selected for the “Top 100” by Wine Spectator. Chateau Ste. Michelle was Washington’s first winery, established more than 50 years ago, and remains the flagship producer of fine wine in Washington, a state that now boasts nearly 1,000 wineries.
Chateau Ste. Michelle winemakers will be on hand throughout Taste & Sip for tastings, presentations and will introduce all the featured wines.
Taste & Sip starts on Thursday, April 4, where guests will be welcomed to Villa del Palmar with a glass of Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay or Rosé.
Culinary events continue on Friday, April 5, with a four-course Italian dinner at the resort’s Casa Mia Restaurant, and on Saturday, April 6, with a five-course dinner at Danzante Restaurant, including tequila and cigars.
Also, late afternoon cocktail receptions are set for Thursday and Saturday, and a wine tasting precedes Friday’s dinner.
The Taste & Sip package, priced at $1,059 USD per person, per package (based on double occupancy), includes taxes and resort fees. Besides the dinners, receptions and tastings, the package also features:

- One 18-hole round of golf at TPC Danzante Bay, including cart
